Lance Pounds, associate attorney at C.K. Quade Law, PLLC, spent his childhood on a small farm outside Ontario, Oregon. Despite his physical limitation, he helped on the family farm driving a tractor, rolling hay bales, feeding and watering cows, and even chasing them back into their pasture at three a.m. when the cows found a hole in the fencing. In his youth, he was well-known for his tap dancing—not so much anymore.
Lance graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho and attended Concordia School of Law in Boise, earning his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in August, 2016. Admitted to practice law in Idaho, Lance is a member of the Idaho State Bar Probate and Tax Section where he contributes to the continued legal education of others, most recently presenting: Achieving a Better Life Experience Act, or ABLE Accounts.
In addition to providing direct services to clients, content for continuing legal education to other attorneys, and presentations to individuals, families and providers—Lance provides critical support to senior attorneys in Medicaid Planning, Benefit Planning, Estate Planning, and Special Needs Planning. When not working, Lance enthusiastically donates his time and energy volunteering to serve Idaho’s low-income populations with their legal needs through the Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Veteran’s Military Legal Alliance.
Living near the greenbelt in Garden City, you will frequently see Lance navigating miles of trails with his recumbent tricycle—averaging ten miles weekly. With a passion for travel, Lance tracks the countries and places he visits, and most recently returned from his international trip to the United Kingdom and time in London. Fond of Idaho’s outdoor activities, his favorite place to rejuvenate is McCall, Idaho, where you can find him hiking to Goose Creek Falls in the Payette National Forest. Passionate about accessible technology, Lance proves an ardent advocate when combining his personal experience and professional education to advocate and empower people with disabilities to live their fullest life possible.
